In this project located at 6107 N. Wastenaw, Chicago, Il, a third floor fire destroyed the exterior limestone art work. The steel linteel and all the stone work was replaced. All
existing pieces were salvaged as best as possible and the pattern of art work was re-traced as best as possible. All new stone was hand carved and carefully installed. A crane lifted some of the pieces in
place. The whole process is drawn out in time but a careful approach is needed for the end result. |
