The brownstone facade located at 3 E. Huron in Chicago was in poor condition. Years of neglect had caused spalling of the brownstone. Replacing and acquiring the stone
would be very costly. The owners decided to install E.I.F.S. or exterior insulation and finish system. Dryvit and
Senergy are more common used terms. The building would have an insulation board and mesh fastened to the interior surface. A base and finish coat with a design recommended by the
architect was installed.

The use of E.I.F.S. can be endless. Many combinations of masonry and Senergy are common. Aesthetics and durability are excellent. Each building has its own unique qualities. In this
situation the long term option was chosen.
